Successful Delivery of NCC tankers.

Nordic Maritime Services are happy to announce the successful delivery of MT Amal  on the 15th of June & MT Namsa on the 4th of August. The project is ongoing at SHINA shipyard with delivery of 11 IMO II purpose built chemical carriers whereof 5 ships has been delivered.

National chemical carriers from Saudi Arabia is a valued client of Nordic Maritime Services through several projects.

Nordic Maritime Services has established a relationship with Daiichi Chemical with initial management of "Sulphur Genisis" from the 1st of July 2011. The specialized sulphur tanker will operate mainly in Europe.

Nordic Maritime Services Moves Office

 

Nordic Maritime Services Moving

 

After six years in Fr.Nansensvei 1-3 on Lysaker, Nordic Maritime Services has moved office to Lilleakerveien 4, 0283 Oslo. The first day of business in the new office was on the 2nd of September 2011.

The move was definitively an employee moral boost as the new offices are in fashion and located amogst other well known shipping companies. NMS are now a total of 15 persons at the head office with expansion opportunities. The new arrangement with an open office environment promotes synergies between separate departments within Nordic Maritime Services.

Ship Mangement

 

New Operations Manager in the Ship Management department.

On the 19th of May 2011, Erik Istad was employed as Operations Manager at Nordic Martime Services head office.

 

Erik has previously sailed for Odfjell and Stolt Nilsen for more than a decade. His vast experience will be a valuable contribution to our ship management team.

Bakri Navigation Co. (BNC)

 

These 7 500 TDW IMO II Chemical Carriers were originally designed as bunker barges but were converted to IMO II during construction. 7 out of 8 ships are delivered with the last ship expected to be delivered during 1st half 2011. Two of these ships are under our technical management
The supervision of the new building was until recently led by our Site Manager, Tom Reeves, now responsible for our Fujairah Office.

Gulmar project

 

These highly complex Multi-purpose dive support vessels will be able to perform a range of comprehensive underwater services from pipeline repairs to heavy constructions subsea. The ships are packed with advanced systems enabling the ships to become top notch in their segment of the offshore industry. 
The supervision of the new building is led by our Site Manager, Geoffrey Donnison.
The first vessel, the GULMAR ATLANTIS, was delivered successfully on March 3, 2011
